Margaret’s Unicorn by Briony May Smith

A Magical Picture Book for Young Unicorn Lovers

Discover a world of enchantment with Margaret’s Unicorn, a beautifully illustrated picture book that will captivate young readers and unicorn lovers alike. When Margaret moves to a seaside cottage to be near her grandmother, she never expects to encounter something truly magical: a lost baby unicorn tangled in the seaweed, waiting for a friend to care for him.

Through the crisp days of fall and the sparkling snow of winter, Margaret and her new companion share joyful adventures—chasing waves, stomping in frozen puddles, and building snow unicorns. As spring arrives, Margaret faces the bittersweet moment of returning her small friend to his family, but the bond they share will never fade.

Like The Mermaid Moon, this story invites rereading—offering imaginative escape, emotional resonance, and a sense of magic woven into everyday moments.
