Pure Mulberry Silk Fiber for Spinning, Dyeing, and Fiber Blending

This mulberry silk fiber is a smooth, lustrous spinning fiber prepared as combed silk fiber, with long, smooth fibers that draft into fine, elegant yarn. Naturally bright and reflective, silk gives finished yarns a soft drape and depth of color that is difficult to achieve with other fibers.

Undyed and ready for custom work, this fiber takes dye beautifully, producing rich, saturated color with subtle variation as light moves across the surface. It may be used on its own or blended with wool, alpaca, or other fibers to introduce sheen, strength, and softness.

Silk offers a distinct spinning experience. The fibers are smooth and draft differently than wool, allowing for sleek yarns but requiring a more controlled technique. For this reason, it is often preferred by intermediate or experienced spinners, or blended with wool for added structure and ease of handling.
