Four Seasonal Toverlux Lamp Scenes by Sibylle von Olfers

Bring The Story of the Root Children to light with this set of four seasonal scenes for the Toverlux Lamp or Window Frame. Drawn from Sibylle von Olfers’ classic illustrations, the collection follows the Root Children through the turning year—from their hidden winter world beneath the earth to their spring awakening, summer adventures, and autumn return home.

The illuminated scenes show Mother Earth and the Root Children preparing for spring, emerging into the daylight with flowers and beetles, playing among the plants of summer, and returning underground as the seasons change from autumn to winter. Together, they offer children a visual way to follow the story’s themes of rest, growth, renewal, and the rhythms of nature.

Use the scenes during read-alouds, quiet evenings, seasonal transitions, or as part of a Waldorf-inspired nature table. They pair naturally with The Story of the Root Children picture book, My First Root Children board book, and the Root Children postcard by Bijdehansje for a layered seasonal display.

Please note: This listing is for the Toverlux Silhouette / lamp plate only. Toverlux lamps, frames, and wooden bases are sold separately.
